Based in Portugal, XmafaX is a Metal band led by composer and producer Paulo Janela. Inspired by bands like Nightwish, Young Gods, Metallica, and Kamelot, the music combines sounds and characteristics of Heavy Metal and its sub genres (Groove Metal, Thrash Metal, Alternative Metal) with other genres, including Hip Hop, Grunge, Funk, and Industrial. XmafaX's music features intense vocals, fiery guitar playing, and blistering drum work.
